LEARNING

Under the guidance of qualified coaches and educators, children will see that learning can be exciting and exhilarating.

HOW GAELTOTS WORKS

The Irish language will play a large role in everything that we do at Gaeltots. All activities will be delivered in Irish, followed immediately by an English translation.

Whilst we don’t expect the children to understand the language at the completion of the course, they should be able to understand certain words and phrases. Hopefully, this will pique their interest in their native tongue.

GAEILGE

The playing area will be split up into three individual zones, all focusing on different aspects of Gaelic Games.

Zone 1 will be dedicated to Gaelic Football, zone 2 to Hurling/Camogie and zone 3 to General Fitness/Fun.

ACTIVITIES

As the children are of such a young age, it is expected that parents play an active role in the sessions each week. It will be easier on your child if they know you are there to support and encourage them. If they are comfortable joining in with the group, then you sit back and relax, but when they need help, there's nobody better than 'mammy or daddy'.

WHAT OUR PARENTS HAVE TO SAY...

Kim

'My 3 & 4 year old attended Gaeltots in Canberra and absolutely loved it. The team were great with the children using Irish in a fun and interactive way while introducing them to Hurling and Gaelic football!

When I was home in Waterford recently for a period there was nothing like this for kids so delighted that this is being kicked off and would highly recommend!'
